Annual Getaway with M-C - this year we went to Martha's Vineyard. The weather wasn't so great, but the company more than made up for it. =D Next year, Montreal? Burlington, VT? Baltimore, MD? Who knows...

Relay For Life, 2009

Without Charlie, Relay For Life will never be the same for me, but I will do my best to continue to fight for a cure for cancer for him.

I was asked to carry the Remember flag in Memory of my husband, Charlie, who died on August 16th, 2008.

Fun stuff! Exciting stuff! Scary stuff!

I just booked my room on Martha's Vineyard for the annual getaway with Muffin. Last year was in Washington, D.C. and it was SO hot that we decided to go north again in the hopes we'll get weather like we did in Nantucket in 2007. Now that it's booked, I'm ready to get excited about the trip! Time to start checking online to see what to do, where to do it, all the fun stuff...

Also, I am looking at a couple of houses on Wednesday, hoping something within my price range grabs my heart and doesn't let go until I've moved in - and then we're together forever. I am excited at the idea of a new home, but it's also quite scary. Charlie was the one who knew what to ask, what to look for - I just balanced the books. Fingers crossed that things go smoothly...

My brain and my heart are not in agreement when it comes to moving. The heart says, stay where you are. It you and Charlie here. My brain says, be quiet, heart! This move is a good thing - the next step in whatever is to happen in Soochal's life! Until I sign papers, I'm not sure who will win, but I'm leaning in the brain's direction right now...

Fun weekend with so many old friends and so many new ones! Have you ever met someone and it clicked? Love at first sight in the platonic sense? I have. Now I have it again. We met in March, clicked approximately 3 seconds later and now Melisa is stuck with me for life. She and a whole bunch of old and new friends were together Saturday night and, man oh Manashevitz, was it fun.

And summer's coming so more fun ahead!

Swine Flu

I am not trying to sound insensitive, but STOP ALREADY! I am tired of hearing about it, I am tired of the jokes, I am tired of the paranoia. I guess I am just tired...

My friend is on a cruise. Well, he was supposed to be on a cruise, but now he is in LA because the cruise was changed - thank you Swine Flu. There is a completely different itinerary. He took the credit for a future cruise and is spending a few days in LA so he can get the vacation mode out of his system.

Swine Flu. 2009 H1N1. Crazy...
